We went to Ancol beach on Saturday Morning.
My little girl wasn't
feeling well, her cough hasn't stopped, and my mom said that a good
morning sea air should help a lot, and she was right.
Ancol beach itself has grown. Unfortunatelly it still site between Jakarta's poluted harbour to the east and factories to the west. you can still see them in the horizon. But for the moment, enjoy the pictures and video.
Last
Saturday, Im arrived on the 9 AM AirAsia flight from KL. Unfortunately,
she arrived at a bad time. Jakarta just started to recover from a
seasonal flood, and alas, I wasn't able to pick her up from the
airport. She had to take the bus and was stuck in the alternative route
traffic for almost 5 hours.
She
was afraid of missing the bus, she forgot to buy something to eat. But
luckily we had prepared a meal for her once she arrived at our house,
and boy did she ate....
After a few hours of a well deserved rest (which Im spent most of it by playing with Vira), Im finally accomplished her mission: Eating Mie Ayam. Yup, we took her to Bakmi Naga in Keramat and she ordered a big bowl of the house's specialty.
After a busy day, we all went home. Im's friend is due to arrive the next day. Enjoy the photos on Flickr. Kapan nih Rehot ikut ke Jakarta lagi? Mancing melulu sih, hahahaha...
Well, here is a little example how my brain thinks and perceives my surroundings. For me, everything in life is exciting, just give it a little push, and its amazing. :-)

It was election day in Jakarta on August 8th 2007, we're voting for the next governor of Jakarta. As always, I'm in favor of the underdog: Adang Dorodjatun. Although he won at my voting station, he lost the election to the vice Governor who is backed by 20 parties. However, Adang lost isn't something shameful, since he won 48% of the votes and only backed by one political party.
Looks like we're going to have another bad 5 years ahead.
Not I'm in Monas, (although I was too) but Im as in Ferwima was in Monas last Sunday.
Im is a friend from my days blogging with TA. She's from KL, and we've met a few times when she has the chance to visit Indonesia. Kali ini Im datang untuk seminar di JCC dengan rekan-rekan kantornya selama 10 hari. Minggu pagi (00.30) gue jemput di Soekarno-Hatta, dan pagi-pagi langsung
deh kita ke Monas, karena dia juga sudah janjian dengan temannya yang seorang wartawati dari KL juga, untuk ikutan acara Plesiran Tempo Dulu-nya anak-anak BatMus (sahabat museum).
Jam 07.00 pagi, gue, Rika, Vira, Im dan keponakanku Tasha berangkat ke Monas. Seperti biasa, penuh sesak dengan orang lari pagi, main bola, jalan-jalan, naik sepeda, dll. Kita tentunya jalan-jalan dulu keliling taman monas dan berfoto-foto sembari menunggu teman-teman Im datang. Yang tidak boleh ketinggalan adalah naik kereta kuda mengelilingi Monas, ini bagian favoritnya Tasha. Vira mah malah cuek dan tidur. Mungkin dalam fikirannya: Been there, Done that...
Akhirnya kita berpisah, Im and friends ikut PTD, sedangkan gue, Rika, Tasha dan Vira makan Somay di Cikini. Rencanannya sih pengen ke Ragusa, tapi Tasha pengen banget nonton Avatar di Nickelodeon jam 10.00. Pulang deh. Eh, malah gue ikutan nonton Avatar :))
Kapan kita bisa poseng-poseng Im?? In KL maybe?
