We went to Ancol beach on Saturday Morning.
My little girl wasn't
feeling well, her cough hasn't stopped, and my mom said that a good
morning sea air should help a lot, and she was right.
Ancol beach itself has grown. Unfortunatelly it still site between Jakarta's poluted harbour to the east and factories to the west. you can still see them in the horizon. But for the moment, enjoy the pictures and video.
Am I a baby making machine or what??
Just 1,5 months after Rika and I decided to have a new baby, and boom, we got it. I'm like ecstatic with joy and happiness. I'm going to be a dad, again. Yay...
Please pray for us and wish that the baby will be healthy and grows up well, and also that Rika will be healthy during the whole pregnancy because the first 3 months (trimester) of pregnancy is a very decisive moment. :-D
Last
Saturday, Im arrived on the 9 AM AirAsia flight from KL. Unfortunately,
she arrived at a bad time. Jakarta just started to recover from a
seasonal flood, and alas, I wasn't able to pick her up from the
airport. She had to take the bus and was stuck in the alternative route
traffic for almost 5 hours.
She
was afraid of missing the bus, she forgot to buy something to eat. But
luckily we had prepared a meal for her once she arrived at our house,
and boy did she ate....
After a few hours of a well deserved rest (which Im spent most of it by playing with Vira), Im finally accomplished her mission: Eating Mie Ayam. Yup, we took her to Bakmi Naga in Keramat and she ordered a big bowl of the house's specialty.
After a busy day, we all went home. Im's friend is due to arrive the next day. Enjoy the photos on Flickr. Kapan nih Rehot ikut ke Jakarta lagi? Mancing melulu sih, hahahaha...
We've been planning this since January, we actually wanted to go on February at first, but we ended up going on August because we've got free tickets from AirAsia (Horay!!!)
Bags packed and ready to go, we left Jakarta on August 10th from Soekarno-Hatta airport to LCCT Malaysia. Small "no frills" and economic airport for the low cost carriers. Took the Skybus to KL Sentral from here at RM18 for the three of us, then connected from KLI Sentral to our hotel via Skyvan for another RM18 for the three of us. Its not cheap, but its cheaper than the other transports around.
We checked in at Puduraya Hotel, which happens to be on top of the Puduraya bus station. It was a nice hotel, but when we arrived, they gave us a small stuffy room, the hotel was fully booked so we couldn't get a bigger room. So we stayed there for one night. It wasn't so bad.
Being close to Chinatown, we were a bit worried of what to eat, although its a Muslim country, friends warn us that not all the food is halal. In Indonesia (except Bali and most of East Indonesia) all restaurants are Halal, those that aren't put up a sign telling people its not Halal. Here, anything goes. So our first food in KL was.... KFC.
Rehot and Im came to the hotel after Maghrib and took us all around to Chinatown at Petaling street, and to Pasar Seni nearby where Rika bought some souvenirs to bring home.
Right before midnight, I got a call from Azhari. He was downstairs at the bus station on his way home to Penang for the weekend. We finally met and talked for a few minutes. I went to 7-11 for some necessities after that.
That concludes adventures on day 1 of our KL adventure, I'll write more soon....
