Lombok & Sumbawa (the last 2 days)

...where was I??

Oh yes. On our third day, we woke up really early. We had an awesome fried rice and seafood breakfast, and we're off to do another teacher's training.
It was a bit dry that day, so dry that when I wanted to go to the toilet, the nearest one with running water is 500 meters away. But the view from the class room was amazing. It was an open door class room, and since its near to a farm, occasionally there were chickens or ducks that went to the class room, surprisingly nobody took notice but me and my father. Must be an everyday sight for everyone.

We finished class an hour after shollat Jum'at, and went back to the hotel and packed our bags. The host treated us to a seafood banquet at Totang Rasa Restaurant just before we leave for Lombok. I have never ate so many shrimps in my life, and these were king prawns... delicious. There was also this fish soup called "Sepat". Its not made from a sepat fish, nor did it taste sepat (bitter), but its just what its called. It was really tasty, and some people here say that the food is also known as the "In-Laws Ignorer" food, coz once you eat it, you wouldn't care if your mother in-law was around.

We finally left, and it was another hour ferry boat ride to Lombok Island. We had to wait another hour before we could enter the harbour, so I took some pictures on board the ferry. We also ate the last meal we had from Totang Rasa which they packed for us, yummy.

We reached Lombok at 8 at night and checked in to the Sahid Hotel. Intenet was quite expensive here, since they charged $3 an hour, but I did use their service to check on my emails and upload photos to flickr. I left the hotel for Jakarta the next day. It was a stop over flight, and I was stuck in Surabaya for 4 hours before I can finally reach Jakarta. Great business trip none the less.
